About

What this site does

GHMUN.COM is a collection of side projects. Each one picks a single question about religion, investing, real estate, books or culture and follows it all the way through with data. Questions like "What is a golf membership bought back then worth today?" or "How much did employees actually make on their company's employee share plan?" get answered with evidence you can check — public filings, official transaction records, news reports — instead of hunches.

Every page is available in Korean and English. A few maps and games that run on their own addresses (xxx.ghmun.com) are still in Korean only.

Who makes it

Planning, research and checking the results are done by one person based in Seoul. The screens and code of each project are built with the help of AI tools, but what to cover and what standard the data must meet are the operator's decisions. How each project was made is described in detail in its making-of.

How data is handled

• Figures come first from sources that can be checked: Korean public filings (DART/KIND), the government's real-estate transaction database, public data, papers and news reports.
• Values that can't be confirmed are never estimated to fill a gap; they are marked "undisclosed" or "needs verification".
• No entry is created from rumours without a source.
• Errors are corrected as quickly as possible, and corrections are not hidden.

The site is free to use and covers part of its costs with Google AdSense ads. Ads have no say in which projects get made or what data goes into them. See the terms of use and privacy policy for details.
