About this project

This page maps art exhibitions in Seoul that are on now or opening soon. If you allow location access, exhibitions are sorted by distance from you; otherwise Seoul City Hall is the starting point. Every exhibition is on the map whatever the distance filter, and tapping one opens the venue, dates, opening hours, admission, a description and official links.

The listings come from the Seoul Open Data Plaza and Seoul Culture Portal event data, the nationwide exhibition data of the Korea Culture Information Service (via the Public Data Portal), and the official websites and press releases of galleries and museums. Exhibitions whose dates and venue could not be checked against an official source are marked ‘Unverified’. Genres are assigned automatically from words in the title and description, so they can be wrong, and artist notes marked AI are AI-written summaries.

The English version covers Seoul and the cities right next to it. Venue names, districts, opening hours and admission are translated; exhibition titles, artist names and descriptions are still shown in Korean as published. Venue names use the official English name where one exists and a romanized name otherwise.

Many exhibitions at small galleries and alternative spaces are still missing. Opening hours, prices and closing days can change, so check the official website before you go. Your location is used only to calculate distances and is never sent to the server.
